Well, I didn't get the job. frown So much for me having more free time any time soon... It would have been a really cool job, too - working in the compliance department of the Big XII Conference, with a nice pay raise to boot. Oh well, I'm sure some menial position as a worker drone for a huge multinational corporation will come along eventually. puke

This one made me laugh the most : Focus on making things better, not bigger, in bed.
This one second: You are headed for a promotion in bed. biggrin
WIsh you could come to the SG party this friday. Its in Arlington! biggrin I'm gonna crash there so I don't have to worry about the aftermaths of drinking.
Hang in there, I'm sure you'll get something going soon.
I shaved that day so I wondered what everyone prefers. I've never tried the landing strip. How does a girl do that? he he

Wow, I really haven't been posting much lately, have I? Sorry for my absence - unfortunately things have been pretty busy and stressful lately, even more so than usual. But on the bright side it looks like I might have a new job by the end of this next week, and a pretty good one at that. More details to come - I haven't got...

I'm back! Still muddling along trying to suck less at the keyboards. Hell, after decades of sucking at the guitar, I might as well develop my suckiness at other instruments.

I already suck transgenre. I suck equally as well at any type of music.

At least there are wingnuts who will pay me to play my suckiness live.

Wow, I've been gone for a while... surreal

Much love and thanks to you all for the birthday wishes. Things are looking up a bit these days, so I'm a bit more optimistic. Looks like I might be moving in a little over a month, and that will be nice. smile Things have settled down a bit with my uncle, and my aunt's family is finally starting...

Thanks man!

And incidentally, it was more like shot like a cannon ball out of mom's vagina day. The trend continued with my graduation present: a suitcase.

Feel that love!

(kidding, mom rules - spoils me rotten)

Much love to you all, and thanks for your words of support. My uncle is doing better at the moment - he had to have quadruple bypass surgery, which is pretty hairy stuff for anyone but especially for someone in his condition. Nevertheless, he made it through okay, so at the moment there is at least cause for guarded optimism for the immediate future. My...

Sorry I had to disappear for a few days, everyone. I had to go to Paris, TX this weekend (not to be confused with Paris, France, which has culture and a certain joie de vivre - Paris, Texas has cultured yogurt and a lady named Joy waits tables at the Kountry Kitchen). My aunt's husband (this would be my slightly unhinged Pentecostal aunt, who thinks...

Goddamned, motherfucking, asshole HMOs. mad mad mad mad

I had a prescription for Celebrex that I took in Wednesday to get filled, thinking I'd be able to pick it up the next day. Wrong! The assholes at Cigna required preapproval, so my doc had to call in before the scrip could be filled. Now, I thought this was a mere formality to confirm that the scrip wasn't a forgery,...

Hmm.... Celebrex and heart trouble, or Relafen and GI tract problems? There's a Hobson's choice for you.

HMOs suck. I'm not a fan of managed care.
xgenehawk:
no apologies needed. I have been reading a lot of articles about how lawsuits have driven up the cost of health care but I have yet to hear anything else about why health cost is so expensive in this country compared to other countries . I mean that couldn't be the single reason why healthcare is so expensive.
Thanks for your input .

Edit: I always wonder why drugs are more expensive here than in other countries . I always reason that it all depends on how much the whole manufacturing process cost and because we have more strict labor laws in this country compare to other countries, the cost of manufacturing would be more expensive but Canada have similar labor laws and yet drugs are cheaper north of the border . I guess it all comes down to the companies who manufactures the drugs have expenses such as health care for employees, pension, etc... so if health care rises, the drug prices rises... both prices are influenced by each other ...
What's your take on drug prices ?

Well, the last few days have been interesting, to say the least. I went over to my sister's house yesterday for the weekend, which was very odd, but also very positive. This was the first time I had seen my sister since about 1998, and we spent a lot of time catching up on things. My brother was also there with his new wife and...
