If I couldn't catch the occasional word of German, I would never have guessed just how dire this aria is... and after reading the translation and a bit about the context... yikes. I think that if Lady Macbeth had opened a bed and breakfast and the Queen of the Night decided to stay there, it would be under new management come morning...
