Bit of a rough ordeal! Glad you came out the other side. I'm lucky enough to just have scoliosis. Not dangerous that i'm aware of, just annoying. Thanks for sharing. For some reason I get a sense of protection when I hear stories like this, even if I don't know them. Human nature I guess?

And then there's issues of nutrition and gut health.  @vanp and i have discussed this a bit, also @nebula.  It's an important area for wellness.  And it lacks science right now.  Perfect time to go crazy on gut function and microbiome studies related to food of different types.
