I have now worked 3 days at the new job and I still love it. It is nice to be around science people again. We tell the same sorts of jokes and have the same laid-back discussions. I have to wear the typical work garb (and new shoes tore up my feet) but I suppose it is worth it.
I have also been doing all of these nuke calculations which, normally, I would not even touch, but because we are doing so to NOT have more made it is totally cool. I am still surprised by how dumb the military and many people in our government are when it comes to hard science. Okay, no, I guess I am not that surprised.
On a side note, I think I am starting to become annoyed by my roommates. At first blush, living with two educated and attractive girls seemed to be ideal, but these two are just so superficial and middle-of-the road. They constantly have the TV on (so there is a laugh track from 7-11 every night) and they just talk about clothes and gossip. Plus, I am left out of pretty much everything and tend to be blamed for anything wrong with the apartment.
