I have been trying to ween myself off of coffee and lessen my consumption of alcohol. So far, I haven't had coffee since Sat., but I have had plenty of booze. I get to work in physics again, I'll be doing nonproliferation stuff, and it is within walking distance of my apartment! I am so stoked. I had to buy dress shirts and slacks, so there is some selling-out involved but I can't complain. It is near the clinic, so I may be able to continue the volunteer stuff as well.

I am now back in physics and will actually be influencing US policy in the sciences. I am so stoked. I actually started messing around with a couple of field theories earlier today, and then decided to get exceedingly drunk.
