Greetings and Salivations!!
While I'd love to regale y'all with stories of my adventures, I've only had one major task the past few weeks: slaving to the man (who exactly "the man" really is or represented by is a mystery. The IRS perhaps?). Getting used to the physical effort is a thing of the past, and thankfully I've felt no need to put on my back brace. What I will take longer getting used to is that nasty ass aromas I've been privileged to since beginning the job. Slangin' dirty laundry for a hospital...what can ya' expect?
Gearing up for the Chicago Comic-Con in a few more days. While not usually prone to part with money for the purpose of having a picture taken with a celebrity, I'm very much into a photo op with Rocco from the Boondock Saints films. Peter Mayhew is on my list too. Now that I'm certain there will be a Suicide Girls booth, I'm also ready to meet a few more lovely ladies; the devils in the flesh, so to speak
Movies have been a big thing lately. Theater-wise, I've seen Green Lantern, Thor, Transformers 3, Cap'n America and....well...that's about it I think. All were pretty damn entertaining, but I'll give my biggest shout out to Captain America. Like the Rocketeer (another favorite), Cap'n America was an excellent period film. All the settings, outfits and references were outstanding throwbacks. I'll be completely honest that with all of the "Man of Steel" buzz hitting the web lately, all other news is really paling in comparison.
I'll draw this to a close, because I'm even boring myself. Just goes to show how non-exciting my life has been lately. School starts soon, and with it more shenanigans on the horizon.
Something that I hope will bring a few laughs:

As for the pup, well. It's taking a little too long, due to busy schedules and our first appointment being cancelled because the animal control officer falling down a flight of stairs RIGHT at the time we were supposed to see the dog. Ugh. So now I just don't know. Maybe tomorrow, but there are just so many other things to do this week .. that have tight schedules.
The rose garden would make -amazing- pictures. Amazing. It's all I could think of yesterday, but it's almost too nice to feel right going around and snapping a million pictures. Even at home, in parks, I felt clumsy and intrusive. We will see. I want to badly enough, so I'm sure it will happen.
