with the exception of your mum, it didn't seem like anybody (excluding your fiance) made an effort. don't let it get to you. all that truly matters in this scenario is how you and E get along. don't let his parents get to you! they are not going to change. so no matter what you do, they will continue to be ungratefull. and you can always do what other couples do, one holiday with your parents, the next with his. and rotate it each year. i am sure your house looks fabulous, and your meal was delicious!
