@drwhosit everything about that movie is open to different interpretations I think. That's what shocked me about the documentary Room 237. So many theories I had never even considered!

That's true, and I love movies on which you can spent thoughts for weeks after you watched them (like Lynch movies), but honestly - as I mentioned before - I haven't thought at all (or just very little) about The Shining. It wasn't important to me. I was simply captured by the eerie and disturbing atmosphere and setting. :)
