Yesterday was a pretty great day. I even got to grill a TON of veggies. $15 worth of fresh veggies makes four servings and one serving is under 160 calories. I felt amazing. By the time I went to bed, my bad tooth was hurting. Like actual tooth pain hurt.
I'm going to tell you all some happy things. Some positive things. Some things made of sunlight and puppy cuddles and growing up. (but not the bad kind of growing up)
I just want to thank you all first for every comment, every twitter DM, every text, every PM, and every single little happy thought you sent my way. I don't think I could feel... Read More
Wow. Drinking straight out of the growler! My kinda woman! I'll even let the Avalanche jersey slide... (If they can get past the Kings, Canucks, and the other Western powerhouses, the Bruins will get you in the finals. Oh, Oh and you're welcome for Ray Bourque! )
I like happy blogs!
Colorado though eh? Landeskog is impressive and Duchene is a special player. They're missing something though, like most hockey clubs. That big center who can win faceoff's and compete with the other teams big lines. On the bright side, if they finish near the bottom, this years draft class is looking amazing. The next couple of drafts should have some exceptional players coming out of it actually.
What were the some of the foods you bought?
I love the Cadbury commercials, with the eggs going "gooooo" they make me laugh, lol...
A much happier blog for y'all along with a mini photo dump.
After a few days of job and apatment hunting, along with a side of doubt in my self, things are looking up. My mom, a financial aid wizard, reassured Reekie and I that we can get help for Reekie's school loans if we're living on our own with low paying jobs. I was... Read More
I can't stand to have that sad blog up after a few hours of apartment hunting.
I found the CUTEST place in Mayer, AZ for about $400 a month but that includes ALL utilities. Half an hour to the nearest superstore. Getting hired somewhere will be an issue, seeing as its a teeny tiny little town. I also don't know how the locals will react... Read More
I understand about the dog situation, I myself have to figure that out on a daily basis when my bf works during the day as I'm gone 10 hours.
I love the southwest side of Prescott along with downtown near Whiskey Row. I hate Prescott Valley, but if it got you here temporarily, it's totally liveable, just flat and really developed.
If you want any help and as I lived in the Verde Valley/Jerome area, I can put a call out to my friends and see where some great places to live are. I'm sure you have already but also check Craigslist because a lot of us here in N.AZ use that to rent out houses/apts/rooms instead of apartment finders.
What type of work are you looking for? Have you considered Flagstaff and working your way down to the VV/Prescott area? LOTS of possibilities here, and I have several friends that end up here and go down to Prescott or start there and end up here.
The Sundogs aren't that far from Flag if you know the right way to go
Edited to add: it will be kinda small for more than one person, but we have a room in our house opening up in May. We have two cats and a dog that all love each other, so more animals aren't a problem (big backyard for the dog). It could be temporary as we don't do leases/security deposits. JUST an idea...I can send you photos. It would give you a launching point to find work/apartment/house you really want.
Even if you wanted to venture down for a weekend to see places IN person. I don't work weekends and would be happy to serve as a guide. I'd love to get back down to Prescott/VV/Jerome anyway. No pressure, but just thought I'd offer. I know how hard it is to look at places to live from a distance. I wish I had been able to see places in AZ when I was looking from back in Michigan.
ITS PHOTO DUMP TIME.
I promised, and I shall deliver. About a month's worth of photos comin' your way. I was going to explain some of them, but instead I'll just post some of the highlights first.
1) When drunk one night, Reekie accidentally sat on my glasses that I left on a chair and so now I have new ones. My first new pair... Read More

I'm back in Denver with Reekie. We had a blast in Iowa and Nebraska and the drive from Lincoln was very easy. Kinda wish we were still in Lincoln though. Stars lost to Omaha but it was a fun game. Reekie got pretty silly. We were supposed to stay until Sunday but we left early.
We got pretty silly at Old Chicago last night watching... Read More
EDIT 01/14/13 I am officially in love with Steve Downie. That is all. See y'all soon.
One Direction and Assassin's Creed III is a totally normal Sunday morning right? Even though I'm awake to get ready to watch the Avs training camp praccy. Kinda nervous. Y'all know how much I hate going anywhere alone but I don't want to miss it seeing as I have... Read More
I leave in just a few days. Please cross your fingers that I don't get pulled over haha. I still need to wash my clothes, pack, and put away all of the clothes that I won't be using. My cubby area is still a huge fucking mess. Hopefully I can get most of it done today. Doubtful, though.
Aww honey Im so sorry to hear about your friend. I lost a close friend to a car accident back in 09. On a better note.. Thats really cool that fantasy is what you wear sometimes too. Isnt it great how a smell can take you to such a happy memory!
Yesterday a friend of mine begged me to watch a newly released music video. I gave in and am now hopelessly addicted to this song. By the end of the day I found myself listening to One Direction while trying to budget for the upcoming Every Time I Die concert.
I am only a little ashamed that I love this song so much. It's catchy... Read More
HOCKEY BLOG
Hopefully this is the last time I am pushed to say this....
But you bitter, angry little former NHL fans can stop. Just stop. I do NOT care that you won't be spending money on the league this year. I don't. None of us happy, rejoicing fans give a flying fuck. ZERO. FUCKS.
As far as I can see, there are two reasons... Read More
I'm glad it is finally over. Now my buddy and I can go back to trash talking eachothers respective teams (his: avs, mine: devils). Although the lock out was painful, hopefully we can all just get past it like you said. GO DEVILS!
i figured it didnt matter, i was putting on a pretty big apathy mindset ... but man i got pretty excited to hear we're getting hockey, enough to shock me. I dont spend too much on hockey since the prices here are obscene for nosebleeds but i really did miss getting to kick back and watch it on tv or having a game on the radio while im at work
