I had to dog sit for my parents while they were in St. Marteen's for their 25th wedding anniversary. I was away from my apartment, therefor my boyfriend and kitten for an entire week. I HATED IT. I don't like being away from them for several hours, an entire week was torture!

Though I completely understand how lone time can just be really really nice. Choosing to have lone time is completely different from being alone because you have no choice in the matter.
It's so relaxing!

Thanks for the add. I probably won't be online a lot - my sutures came out and my brains were leaking again and they won't tlee me how long I have to be in the hospital and the only way I can post is to have a friend take the laptop down 4 floors in the hospital to go outside and open a page (I saved" a notepad document of various urls), then open a reply window if warranted, then bring it back upstairs so I can post a reply or comment, then go BACK downstairs and outside and send it.

She's not loving this arrangement.

But I have a private room and now 15 mp3 players people have brought me to borrow so I getto explore the musical minds of my friends and exes. It helps.

I'm going to try to post a quick journal update now but my head is starting to feel like it's swelling as I sit up, so I better do it quickly.

When you get your new computer, have a computer geek friend install the hard drive from you old dead one as a "primary slave drive", and most likely your archives will magically be intact. If not have a new primary slave drive installed so you can store all of you precious things there. The secondary hard drive can then be moved to the new computer each time you get one. You probably have not lost your data files and they can be read from the new computer. No guarantees, but most likely.
