So, uh, Happy Festivus or your preferred variant of the Winter Solstice celebration. After I shower (anybody wanna join me?) and pack for the weekend, I'm heading to my sister's house to tear joyously at paper and partake of Mom's cooking. Later this evening, I will climb in my 4 door, sunroofed Jetta, er, sleigh and speed off to Chattanooga to celebrate further with my...

Ok, I really wanted to do this myself, but somebody beat me to it. Wishlist.com lets you create a wish list that you can add to from anywhere. So, instead of having wish lists at every friggin' place you shop, you can have just one. It's sweet, but bitter at the same time. Sorta bittersweet.... I never really got into too much web design crap,...

My friggin' hands are so cold! One of these times, I'm gonna hit a key, and my finger will pop right off. I'm cuttin' outta here on Wednesday and not comin' back until next year.

I hafta do a bit of Xmas shopping. I normally like shopping by this time, because I normally don't need to do any more shopping. But I'm gonna be a...

yea, steve jobs wants my fat butt. i'm really just using him to get free shit.

sorry to hear the relationship waters are choppy for you right now. i'd say dont do anything rash because people get funny and extra emotional during the holidays. i've been married for 7 years and i still dont know if my husband is 'the one'. but we have an open relationship so we dont really think of things in those terms anyway. but regardless of how open or traditional a relationship is, there is no ONE person who can be everything to you. thats why you have friends and family and other people who can fill those gaps.

i know its hard on the ego to think of yourself as the fallback guy, but its our egos that get us into trouble all the time. if we can learn to let go of it, we'd be loads happier. at least that's what they tell me at my yoga cult.

Feh. I hate winter. I want long days, warmth, and green stuff. I got dead grass, ice on my little patio pond. Yeah, I'm yet another soul afflicted with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Feeding birds kind of helps. It's nice to see something thriving out there. That's another reason I love my bamboo; not just that it evokes images of the tropics, but because it's an...

This entry is just to mention one of the new CDs I got last night. It's called Christmas Remixed, and it has classic Xmas tracks, like Andy Williams' "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year", set to new beats. This is a fun disc!

yeah, my thoughts exactly on the whole asprin/ibuprofen allergy. maybe i took it too much in my youth. who the hell knows. i guess we just start falling apart after 30. something to look forward to.

So, Jane taught me to Rumba a little bit. My office Xmas party was Saturday. I have a perfect record of absence. Shit, this is Cobb County, Georgia. The Olympics were going to (or did they) route the friggin' Olympic torch run to avoid Cobb County because of the ultra-right wing anti-gay BS. And of course there's Kennesaw, famous for its law requiring residents to...

Yoiks. Jane's into ballroom dancing; I have 3 right feet (I'm a lefty). But tonight's her dancing org's holiday party, so I bought new shoes (that won't stick to the floor), and I looked up how to cha cha on the web (I did too) (yes, really). Of course, my 30 minutes of practice prob'ly won't do much for my dancing ability, but it...

I said white Christmas, asshole! White! Not wet! Seriously, the rain's really been coming down here today. Every time it rains, half the people in Atlanta drive like it's never fucking rained before, turning on their emergency flashers and shit. Then there's the other half, riding the asses of the first half like anti-lock brakes can defy the laws of physics. Well, you...

wow! and i practically live in cabbagetown. they're coming out with a diesel mini, aren't they?

congrats on a great review at work. celebrating? treating yourself to something nice?

regarding the gadget, a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do to keep herself from getting knocked up. a little pain now will save a hell of a lot of potential pain later.

and regarding the right wingers and their porn. i have some interesting observations on that too. tho it may be more info than you want so i'll hold off until you give me the go ahead. how well do you really want to know your SG friend?

Well, turns out it was my motherboard that I smoked. It was only like 3 months old. It's gonna cost me $150 to replace that, plus the $50 for the place that did the diagnostics. At least it wasn't the CPU; those go for $270. Another expensive lesson (TM).

I got new shirts from T-Shirt Hell yesterday. Woo hoo! For me, I got "I'm Rick...
