Feh. I hate winter. I want long days, warmth, and green stuff. I got dead grass, ice on my little patio pond. Yeah, I'm yet another soul afflicted with Seasonal Affective Disorder. Feeding birds kind of helps. It's nice to see something thriving out there. That's another reason I love my bamboo; not just that it evokes images of the tropics, but because it's an evergreen grass, giving a hearty "fuck you!" to the winter frost.
I do love Christmas, though, despite my status as a heathen. Of course I love getting presents; I'm already giddy thinking about it. I really love giving them, too, though. I have a knack for it, whether it's something store bought or brought back from Costa Rica or a gift basket that I put together myself. I actually like shopping this time of year (I like shopping in general...); maybe it's that it's another sign that life conquers winter, or maybe it's just that it makes me anticipate Christmas that much more.
I've got more, but I've gotta get ready for work. TBC
Awright, I'm at work now. Shit, I think somebody spiked the water supply with Guatemalan Insanity Peppers. People are driving like friggin' madmen out there, and there ain't no weather to blame today.
I forgot what my train of thought was when I left off last time. And I'm sleepy. And my friggin' hands are too cold to type, which, as a computer programmer, doesn't exactly enhance my productivity.
