I leave for Budapest on Saturday. I'm nervous and excited. I'm not nervous about going, I'm just afraid I'm going to forget something. I hate that. But, I'm sure as long as I'm clean and dry and smell good everything will be fine. Must remember to bring camera. Rachel, the girl I'm visiting, said it's snowing there again. Perhaps they will save some for me! I love the snow.
Today instead of a math talk we had a study break in the math lounge. Dave bought food and drink and we played games, the best being apples to apples. It was akward at first because we had to make our own deck from scratch, but we got so many people to play! I fucking LOVE that game. If you've never played, well, you get a bunch of index cards and write adjectives on some of them and about 10 times as many nouns on the rest, one thing on each card. Then, everyone gets seven nouns. When it's person A's turn, they turn over an adjective card and all the rest of the people put down the noun they think person A would think the adjective best describes. For instance, if the adjective were "sexy" and you had a card that said "AL's 1337 math skills" you might want to play that, or if the adjective were "dirty" and I was the person who was picking, and you had "hippies" you might play that one. And you would win that round. Person A picks up all the cards and ranks them from least like the adjective to most, and the person who gets most wins that round. At the end of the game the person with the most rounds won wins (but who cares? it's fun) and supposedly the adjectives you won describe you. Today I had brilliant, crabby, wheels-off and domineering. The guy next to me had pathetic and sketchy. Harsh. But it was so fun. At point Duncan was laughing so hard he nearly wet himself. It's a fucking great game.
And then I did my abstract algebra test. We had six hours to work on it, including write up. I didn't do so well, but I only wasted 3 hours of my life doing it so I didn't feel so bad.
Last night I put my hair up in rollers. I had just bought the rollers yesterday. It was a hit, and putting my hair up is unstressful and relaxing and easy, so I did it again tonight. I hope the results will be as good tomorrow. I hope the damp bits of my hair dry.
Maybe I will draw over break, maybe not.
*hugs*
