I never thought I'd say this, but now that I'm taking combinatorics, I wish I were back in number theory. It made WAY more sense. I think combinatorial theorists take too many drugs. It's the only way they can possibly understand all these proofs. Number theorists just stare at stuff for a long time.
Today was pigtail day, but no one remembered but me. Well, I guess we'll have another one next Friday. Last year we had a pj party in our 9 am class and the prof said he'd wear his pjs but he just wore his silly Ph. D. robe. At least he wore the hat, too. He tried to tell us he sleeps in it, but *I* see it hanging in his office. *I* know better!
Hey, at least he was a team player.
It's really hard to part your hair without a comb or at least a nice wide-tooth brush. I can't believe how long that took me this morning... and then when I got to class I found my comb in my backpack. Silly AL.
I have a test on Monday. I must study, I must memorize many proofs. Some things are not so intuitive.

combinatorials are kind of like those trekkies that invented a klingon language, a language for a race of people that are science-fiction, its not like you would ever go to a klingon city and use it...but i guess you have to admire such an intricate fantasy...

I am so jealous of the math courses.
