It's my journal
(if you already read the intro about interstitial cystitis, check out today's thoughts underneath the row of pretty pretty stars)
I thought it would be cool to document teh life of a chick who's got the girlie-disease "interstitial cystitis."
A lotta people don't know what I.C. is so here goes: incurable tiny ulcers inside the wall of your bladder make it hard to walk, exercise, eat, drink, fuck, dance, breathe, smell flowers, blah blah blah.
The thing is? I have this disease and i'm still kickin' ass.
And other for-real chicks that have bullshit going on with their bodies can relate.
No matter what our mutherfucking misogynistic doctors, sadistic nurses, well-meaning family members, and uninformed aquaintances say, we are awesome, and we can do a good job of taking care of ourselves, thankyouverymuch.

So. I've been pretty consistently reading and commenting on SG for a few months now. And despite what it says in my profile, I've been a member in one way or another since '02 (sharing memberships with friends etc).
Good things:
*SG sets + SGs
*My "friends" list - everyone is so nice and cute!
*Contact with other chronic illness rockers
*Lots of great advice
*Fun debates - it's easy to call people on their BS when everything is right there in writing
*I've learned some shit about myself through talking to people. It was stuff I didn't really like, but I'm glad I learned it so I can change, you know?
Bad things:
*Not enough people as funny as ZombieElvis
*Getting shit on by people from the boards who can't read
*Having to resist the urge to make every journal entry an uber-liberal commentary on recent political events that were not covered in the news. :twitch:
What do you guys like and dislike about this place?
Oh - also, are there pretty, women-owned sites like this that have actual porn on them? If you know of any, let me know!
