Yesterday in a drum group, someone said "So here's a challenge, let's see what you all can do with only cymbals"

LOL

Totally improvised setup with what I had, don't mind the mess of musical gear in the back, that's all stuff I'm trying to sell.

"HiHat" is a Sabian Radia Bell with a Zildjian Zil-Bel on top

Snare is a Sabian Medium Max Stax...

This is a tune called Nite Club by Tribal Tech. Fusion funk straight ahead tune, very fitting since we were playing in a club. 🤘🏻😎

I get home from the drum camp in July, dishwasher broke, water backing up in laundry room, find out pipes underneath house are broken.

Dishwasher fixed

Sept- microwave dies - gets replaced

Today- air conditioner dies

For some people, it would drive them insane...

I'm just like well... at least I'm alive!

Funniest thing was the bassist and keyboardist that they had available...

It is currently the 3rd day of the 5 day drum camp. Made my way up to Canada last weekend. It's been an amazing experience so far. Most years, these camps have been for beginner to somewhat intermediate players. This year, they've made one especially for intermediate and advanced players. It is surprisingly kicking my ass and making me work hard and I get back...

So there's this website called Melosity. It was created for musicians to collaborate over the internet, share ideas, etc.

Cool thing about this is that I hooked up with J.P. Kallio, a guitarist from Ireland who I normally follow on social media and he was looking for musicians to collaborate on his original music!

I figured I might as well try it and see what...

So now that college is out for the semester, pretty much going to be hitting the drum books practicing technique, timing, rudiments, and developing my sound in jazz stylistic playing. Still a metal head in heart, so with that being said, interested in doing another drum cover before the year is up, any suggestions?? Any style! I'll try it!
