I agree with that for sure.  It's a collaboration between the subject and photographer.  If one part doesn't work, than you truthfully cannot have an amazing set with the final result.  I always think of it that way. It's really special when you can feel those moments without being there.

Respectfully, can you PLEASE stop tilting the camera when you take pictures.  No one walks around with their head tilted to one side, so our brains are used to seeing things right-side up.  You are a great photographer and you don't need to "jazz things up" by tilting.  It's passé, can be annoying, and definitely detracts from the models.  Just my opinion of course.
