Idlewild has changed a lot since their first album back in 98. They have mellowed out quite a bit. I could play you 2 songs from the first album and the last album and you would not believe you were listening to the same band. (I like to listen to their three full lengths in reverse order and listen to the aggression build.)

But to each his own. I still like ya' anyways. wink

History of insects sounds fascinating. I think documenting all the genetic mutations that occur in generations of fruit flies would be cool in a creepy sort of way. I've seen pictures of the mutations that are straight out of sci-fi. Arms growing where antennea go, extra limbs, eyes, etc,...

I can't believe you told your professor that! If you can work on a paper for 14 months then you are guaranteed a cushy job in academia land after you get your PHD.

but now my interest is piqued (sp). It's odd because the whole philosophy of creating your own bonds and dissassociating with those you clash with is a philosophy I already try to apply. (to the extent that it can be in today's world).

I always thought that the theory behind ideas such as communism would have been perfect if they took into account human nature. Most political ideologies (even democracy, and especially capitolism) tend to forget to account for traits such as greed, jealousy,selfishness, etc. If thee were only some way to check those faults, I think it would all work out.

Anyway, thanx for the reply. (you can email me if you wanna conserve journal space) Glad you're back. I knew there was a reason I liked you.
