Do you enjoy dumb movies that are dumb? Then may I recommend 65, which has only two characters and a plot that—on paper—sounds like it could be good, plus a good lead and if you add budget, heck, you’ve got a winner, right? Well…except for the script. Oopsie doodle.

Do you enjoy late ’90s animated psychological thrillers that go out of their way to try to gaslight but don’t really? Then may I recommend Perfect Blue, which makes apparent who the killer is before the first murder—but includes way more than a simple murder mystery for free.

For my birthday, I got two Dark Adventure Radio Theater plays—with props! (Back in the day, we used to call the things like cloth maps that came with video games feelies.) I must commend H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society on their amazing work. Detailed, great, and just wonderful! Plus the radio plays are fantastic!

Sir Percival Softpaws is in the hall, all the lights are off everywhere, and he just meowed and it sounded exactly like a human deadpan saying “Meow” which is not profoundly creepy at all.

PSA: Unquestionably my largest/best source of the craziest/unhinged UFO and Bigfoot documentaries is @tubi. One of my favorite things to do lately is to turn one on and then let Tubi auto play the day away—there’s that much content. It does not disappoint if you want some far out to counter an otherwise Earth-is-being-dumb day. 🛸👣

Played Civilization 6 the entire day yesterday. I delayed feeding the cats by 15 minutes at night just so I could finally end the game victorious for launching a mission to Mars—my favorite victory condition.
