Holy cow!
I'm typing away... working through this loooooooooooooooooooooong queue of reports to edit, and I get an email from my boss.
This is pretty standard, as it's a quick way to communicate. The main office is in Ann Arbor, and I'm in Kalamazoo, so we often "chat" through email.
I figure it's the usual, "Make sure you do this," thing, so I click over to it.
I got a $1/hour raise!!! Effective this pay period!!!
It was a "Thanks for all your hard work" email.
I told her I was really surprised and grateful, and she said she'd talked to the HR person and told her I'd earned it.
Yay!
