My spring class starts today. I'm excited. I prefer spring/summer classes because they move at an accelerated pace, which means I don't have time to get bored. Plus, if I hate the class, it's over in six to seven weeks instead of fifteen.
I have Studies in the Novel, a 400-level English class required for the major. I'm not exactly sure it's a standard Lit class, as we are required to take all sorts of Lit classes. One of the books I had to pick up was "The 20th Century Novel", so we shall see. I imagine we'll be dissecting novels and their form, not their story like you do in most Lit classes.
Since we're reading seven novels on top of that textbook, my brain will be spinning with lots to do. As I said, I'm excited.

I did a major paring of my friends list. Don't take it personally. I simply don't have enough time to keep up with everyone and everything, so if you haven't been on it for a long time or we don't talk that much, off you went. It doesn't mean I don't care.

I wish I took more classes on the novel. Because I was doing a double major, my english courses were chosen entirely by what fit around my drama schedule. Meh.
I used to love summer classes as well, I wished the whole school year would run like that! Alas.
