I just saw Hunger Games. I can't believe it took me this long to see it. I read the trilogy a couple months ago and loved it (though, the third book is sort of weak).
The movie was great. It got a lot of criticism for changing a few things, but they weren't such major things that it affected the story. Also, I could fully understand why they had to drop a back story or skip over something. They didn't mangle the book at all, and the casting was pretty good. Hamitch wasn't as much of a train wreck as he is in the book, but they still portrayed him effectively. Effie was fabulous.
All in all, I was pleased. I'd give it 4/5 stars.

With all the hype for this, I am determined to read the books first and then see the movie. I gotta read the book first though.
