I'm stuck.
I've been working on this stupid psychological study all afternoon, and I just don't want to do anymore. I've tried everything... I made dinner, watched a bit of TV, cleaned... but nothing is working. I just want to push it away from me and never think about it again.
Luckily, finals are next week. I'm glad I didn't reach burnout until just now. I managed to get a bunch of work done yesterday, and I'm in good shape for the weekend's Study Fest. Why, oh why did my Abnormal Psych professor choose to do the chapter on all the different schizophrenias and autistic disorders LAST? My brain is DEAD.
My roommate, however, is going insane. It's sort of amusing. She goes between stressing and pacing and drinking and laughing. I'm just sort of in the middle... stressed but not ruffled.
I wish I had my piano here. Nothing relieves my stress like banging out a few songs. I used to play for HOURS when I was at NMU. I'd hide in a practice room all evening and work on a piece until I was satisfied, even if it meant bloody fingers. My keyboard just doesn't cut it. Besides, the batteries are dead, and I can't find the outlet thingie.
Silly Sorcha Story: When I was very young, I was creeped out by the "Dr. Who" theme song. I'd run out of the room the second the credits started rolling, and I wouldn't return until the show had started.
