My landlord got a hold of me tonight (after quite a bit of pestering on my part). I get to move on Monday! Yay! As soon as I get off of work, I'm going to grab the truck and meet a couple of friends at my current place. Then, it's off to the new one, which is all of four blocks away! 
This is going to be one of the easiest moves ever.
The problem with the late notice is that I might not have water right away, and I won't have internet for a few days (not a huge deal, that last one). THANKFULLY, I was smart and decided to play my bluff; on Tuesday, I called DTE for a power/gas appointment on Monday. So, at least I'll have power, hot water, etc. I've never had water put in my name before, so I don't know if they need to come out or not. If not, that's awesome because I can get it right away and won't have to crash at my friends' place. Does anyone know about that?
Favorite songs of the week: "Phantom Limb" by The Shins and "Rubber Glove Seduction (12" Version) by PTP. The latter reminds me of the darkest 80's clubs, lace gloves, sunglasses, and clove cigarettes. Sometimes I wish I'd been 17 in 1984 instead of 7.
