And, I'm done. Two out of three internships have been completed. I walked away today with a handful of cards, a certificate of completion, and some really cool ear rings and stickers (bats of course). I sat in my car and almost cried while reading the cards that the staff gave me... no tears were shed though. I feel relieved and at a loss, all at the same time. I also got confirmation that I am done with school. Another reason for me to be excited, but I think I'm too exhausted to feel anything other than sleepy. Or maybe I'm broken. Nervous energy is for sure running through my body. I know the feeling all too well. Now that I have some free time, I feel like something is wrong... I don't really know how to not do anything, if that makes sense. I'm so used to being stretched thin, that when I'm not bent all out of shape, I feel as though something is missing.
I have a 'working interview' the seventh. I hope that it goes well. Funny how people are connected. The woman that I have the interview with, used to work with one of the keepers at the museum. In fact, they used to party together when they were both in Florida. Jason, the keeper at the museum said that I should drop his name, and for sure I'd get the job. He's already one of my references, but I don't want to get ahead based on who I know, or who knows who. I'd really hate for it to come done to that, but if that's my only resort, than I suppose I'll have to rub shoulders and kiss major ass.
I'm sure you want to know this, but I lost my glasses this morning, so I had to wear an old pair, which was hard because I couldn't see out of them. Maybe that's why I almost cried earlier... more like squinting out tears. Either way, I found them when I got home. They somehow ended up on the floor between the washer and dryer. Must have fallen while I was taking off my zoo clothes to wash last night.
I'll stop rambling now. It's way past my bed time. The street lights have been on for sometime now.
Night.
