Meh. Name change. No big deal. DON'T GET YOURSELF TO WORKED UP ABOUT IT. I was tried of the other one. Nothing significant about it.

Things are pretty good. I just finished my first term. It's weird. I am a 27 year college freshman, but that's okay because I running circles around all these teenagers in class. Teenagers are so fucking stupid...

When did you move back to LA?
fearthereaper:
I've never experienced a colder 5 minutes of my life than when I had to pump gas in Nebraska during -5 weather, with winds blowing down from Canada. Truly horrible.

Glad you made it out alive.

She had me at hello Charley-- had me scared to death. Not a single doubt that she is ready to be president-- everyone, no matter how experienced, should have doubts about the ability to take that job. A combination of utter inexperience and utter arrogance is about the worst possible combination I can imagine. Not knowing what the Bush Doctrine is would be bad enough...

I'm long over due for an update, but I've grow to the feeling that a blog should be more than a online diary. Who wants to read my diary? Not me. That shit would be boring. I mean, I'm still going to write about what's happening in my life a bit, but from now on, I will include PICTURES! But not...

well, congratulations on being a civilian, I guess. Can they re-activate you if they feel like it, or are you really out?
smithers_jones:
Well if you see a strikingly handsome man with an aura of mystery, intrigue and danger surrounding him wandering about town, that's me.

I may also be pushing around a shopping cart filled with cans and bottles.

I think I shall try Amtrak in August.

Thanks to those for the insight.

The movies are pretty close to reality. Hell, one of them "Night of the Tornados" or something like that, is about Grand Island Nebraska and the night that 14 hit in one night.

Thanks - nice to see you're still around here. Odd as it sounds, I'm moving to England never having been there. Hopefully I'll like it, I imagine I will - Cambridge (where I'm moving) Is like the origin of all things academic, so I imagine I'll like it there.

How have you been?

Has anybody rode Amtrak lately? I would like to go to Lollapalooza in Chicago and was thinking rail might be better than flying or driving?

Not since college. I recommend as a trip everyone should do at least once in their life.

thefreak:
I did when I went to NY last year. I enjoyed it.

I've been thinking about moving on from the good ol' "KUNGFOO" handle here on SG.com. Even I don't know what I meant when I typed it in back in 2005. It doesn't mean anything. I remember I started off with "KungFoo", but in my mind's eye, it looked stupid. So I went with all caps. All caps is really kind...

joker_:
I love Batman Begins, but it has two issues.

1) Batman does not fly (yes, I know it was gliding, but it looked terrible)

2) Batman does not almost kill cops all over the place while driving around.

Still, a magnificent movie.

This one, as a super hero movie, I think was better.

As an overall movie, not as good at Batman Begins.
