Just another fucking Thursday...
My Thanksgiving was all right, I guess. Went to my parents' house for a bit, played with my niece Mya. She's talking now. I was trying to teach her to catch stuff and throw it back but all she can manage to do is hold her arms out and let whatever I throw fall to the ground, and then she's really good at throwing shit on the ground. That's about it as far as that goes. My other niece, Kaleena, kept crying for her "mama", so she wasn't feeling like doing much of anything...
Watched some choppers and random bikes on TV, and then jumped into my dad's SUV to meet my mom for lunch. My sis and brother-in-law had someplace to be, so it was just me, my mom, my dad, and my brother. They had the strangest looks on their faces when they didn't see any meat on my plate. I can handle hanging out with my mom, she's cool. I can even usually get along well enough with my dad... Having to chill with my brother too just wasn't doing it for me. Oh, my brother... What can I say...
This is the one person who, on a regular basis, is able to piss me off to no end like no one else can. This is the person I've shot in the leg with one of those "sporty" type hunting slingshots with a chunk of concrete. He is the only person who's ever smashed me directly in the face with a rake. I've thrown him through the plaster of the wall in the room we shared as kids.
If you've ever seen Oasis' Gallagher brothers on TV, and seen how they can go from reasonably friendly to being complete assholes to each other in the span of two seconds, then you can see where I'm coming from.
Afterwards, I just chilled at my parents' house watching TV and whatnot, looking around for anything of mine I might have been too lazy to bring here with me, anything that looked like it was worth keeping... Found a bunch of old videos and stuff. I found the fuzzy pink Ed Wood boxed set. I found my copy of "Blacula". Mmm-hmm. My copy of "My Fair Lady" in the gigantic Disney-style plastic VHS box.
"The House of Yes". Yep. Fucking awesome. I loves me some Parker Posey.
Did I mention that I never went to sleep last night? Fun. I've been so absent-minded all day, so sleep-deprived, that I looked at my cigarettes sitting on the porch here before I left earlier, and it did register, because I thought to grab the lighter. I ended up leaving the cigarettes right where they were. I ended up having to buy more on the way to the parents' house. That's always fun.
I would normally look to see what everyone else on here is up to this evening, checking the bookmarks and whatnot, seeing if anything interesting has been going on in the last day or so, but... I'm going to go crash right now. I'm about to pass out. Not metaphorically, as a figure of speech... I am literally about to fall asleep right here on this chair, about to involuntarily lose consciousness...
Bye and Happy Turkey/Tofurkey day...

kind of know those kind of relationships. I used to fight with my older sister all the time. then she decided to fight me one day and I picked her up. she has since stopped from that day forth. talks big....I laugh at her.
outting with the parents, huh? I got to help my mom cook the dinner. I can cook and she can cook. my step-father, well, let's just say he puts ketchup on everything. his idea of cooking are hamburgers that you can play hockey with!
little kids catching....its tough! I've worked a little bit with my cousin's three-year old son. its a chore in some ways. but I'm hoping one day.
and lack of sleep will make you tired. I would say the tryptophan in turkey as well, but guessing you're a vegetarian, so I'm also guessing not a lot of that in your diet. but it could always explain why everyone is so tired after Thanksgiving. tryptophan is in turkey, and is a sedative.
hope you got some sleep. I'm freezing in my room, getting ready to write a paper....joys.
