Sometimes, I just want to hide under the covers and read with a flashlight, just like I did when I was little.
Make sure to run and jump into bed, from a reasonable distance, because if you stand next to the bed carelessly, something/someone could reach out from under the bed and grab your ankle. Upon waking, use the same amount of caution, but be aware that underbed monsters don't like the daylight, or even the dim evening/morning sun, so things should be fine in any case.
Be careful though.

I remember needin a whizz soooooo badly all night and holding it in cos I was too scared to touch the floor. I was a kid and I'd just watched Tremors ok!!!
What's under my bed now is probably more scary anyway.
I mean, I know there's nothing under there but better safe than sorry right?
