I work at the lake & I was out at Echo Bay Marina today and there was a PELICAN. What the fuck? Just hanging out like it's not the middle of the desert. I'm thinking maybe he got all fucked up last night, woke up here and is like "ooooh, my head. What the... - where the fuck am I?" Poor guy. And I think...

Anybody have any tips on caring for a largemouth bass? If you work for the Dept. of Wildlife or Fish and Game (or whatever) this is a purely hypothetical question. Imagine someone were to purchase a largish fish-tank. And say this person were to buy a fishing liscense. Maybe he sticks himself with a hook, maybe not. Maybe he's a bit too curious why a...

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have been going to some local meetings and I go to the therapist tomorrow. An inpatient treatment center won't work for me because I make the majority of the money for my family. So right now I'm working for myself and collecting UI which is allowing me time to get my head together and not causing my family greater financial burden. I'm a binge drinker, so when things get tough I turn to the bottle for self medication. So right now I am feeling ok and I am just taking it day by day.

No you didn't!!

yeah, welcome to the AP group. i was hoping you could suggest some great 20's/30's blues groups or albums. i've been wanting to find some for a while, but haven't been able to. Hopefully you know of some wild, lude, and weird stuff.

Oh. and if you want to see a real Mexican Wrestler check out my profile pic. They call me "El Hombre Sensitivo"!!

I scored a wonderful set of "Jarts" (aka lawn darts) at a yard sale this morning. The real kind with points that maim, not the lame-o wieghted ones that just knock you out. Ahhhh, the memories. Nothing more fun for two kids than a game of lawn dart catch using chunks of cardboard. America is grand indeed.

You can have a wicked game going in Bicentennial park. Those things were cool. I don't know how kids today enjoy life without dangerous toys.

OK, now I see how to do this. I ain't the quickest anymore, alright? I do know a few things though, and here are two of those things and the kind folks who passed them along to me.

From David: "Crying in front of a woman is like bleeding in front of a shark."

From Buford: "When a child does wrong, do not smack his...

Ok, I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out this journal thing, bear with me.

Here's a couple some words of wisdom from a couple freinds. They're brothers, so that may explain something.
DAVID: "Crying in front of a woman is like bleeding in front of a shark."
BUFORD: "When a child does something wrong do not smack him in the bottom- that will send mixed messages. In choosing to do wrong it is his reasoning which is at fault. Hit him in the head, this will be much clearer to him."
