A strange long double-shift... It was spent blocking blows from a client of mine. He occaisionally got a good one in - The first being him going Hulkamania on me and my shirt. I'm now working on stretching exercises, reaching for merlot & advil. *sigh* I thankfully have tomorrow off though, it'll be spent packing stereo gear, guitars & their effects rigs. I'm also due...

Pretty good day overall...Flitted about with my pimpin' 12 yr old brother, assisting him spend his Xmas gift cards. Also got the chance to go to Costco and buy bulk supplies for the new flat - new tupperware-ish containers, a neverending box of trash bags and some nice non-slip cutting boards (which can only help me really).

It was also the day of bumping into...

So, Xmas came and went...quickly enough for my tastes. No real family drama or debacles aside from the usual. I worked a 13 hour day which aided in not having to see more obnoxious relatives and maximizing in holiday pay.

This year my kid brother, known as 'Boy' within the family, is on the outer cusp of Santa/No Santa insights. I'd give it to him...

wow - if you can master 7th grade, then you are a total rock star. what an interesting combo - santa and pimpitude.

xmas was downright pleasant - a shocking turn of events. seeing family also merits holiday pay, but yay to you for managing to to avoid the former whilst maximizing the latter. miao!!

A dreadful pit that's gaping wide for me,
For you are a professional in love
Amateur, I in my simplicity.

Pooh nodded thoughtfully.

So...buttons. Sunday came and went thankfully. I have a relatively 'laxed week here on out...which kinda makes sense, huh?

Tomorrow & Tuesday - 2nd's on RoTK, apartment 'i' dotting & 't' crossing and packing zillions of books. Wednesday - I drive a client to his family's pseudo-farm in Rhose Island. Maybe this time I won't become lost for 21/2 hours... Xmas - I work a...

Saturday somethings... Woke up at 7am to be at the post office for its opening at 8. I'm proud to say that out of the 8 shlubs online, I was the only one tricksy enough to bring a book and a large cup of coffee from the Dunkin' Donuts a block away...amateurs. biggrin So, my other chunk of family's presents are speeding towards Winterset, IA...Bridges of...

Hi! I'm back and feeling better by the hour. Thank you so much for the love while I was all gah and bleah. Your comments always brought a much needed smile to my lips. biggrin

Was that Neil signature from something you had signed? *envy, envy, envy* I have a few signed items, but nothing with doodles, and a doodle of Dream is worth major envy.

Yay, yay, yay! for you and the Princess!! I'm so excited for you guys. It's going to be so wonderful for you two to have your own space for sharing and caring and cooking and dancing and all the other great stuff that comes when you live with the beloved one. Hugs for both of you!

Have fun with all your holiday outings. It sounds like you are pretty much ready to just kick back and enjoy the rest of the season. Happy happy holidays and bright blessings! kiss

Edited to add: Tattoo!!!! Whoooo!!! I can't wait to see it! biggrin biggrin biggrin

Happenings of Friday... Got out of work early to have my finger checked out my physician. Her encapsulated words were, "Your first aid kicks ass! There's nothing you've overlooked in wound aftercare. If it turns colors or falls off, call me. Otherwise, don't change a thing...and don't poke at it." It was a pat on the back for my bad-ass cotton gauze mastery but, that's...

aren't you glad you didn't just wait in the emergency room until they saw you for the follow up visit-- that would have been the icing on the cake.

Early Wednesday morning entry... Just got home from ROTK, as I'm sure a great deal of you did, as well. I dug it! It was worth my $9 for both this screening & the one I'll probably see this Monday, too. smile

Okay...I've taken several deep breaths. Let out frustrated resignation, inhaled...something else, cold winter air..? Both my Princess and I were able to attend the second apartment viewing this morn. She was able to put physical walls on the floorplan I drew with what AD&D DM'ing skill I had left over from middle and high school. "Is that a hidden wall?" wink We turned in all of...

Grumbly grrr! mad I've had a frustrating day being held against my will! I had the apartment viewing this morning an hour and a half late... For some reason the rental agency had listed my appt. as a computer demonstration...? So, I waited in front of the apartment building, trying to deftly navigate their automated phone system & raise a live person on the other end...

yup, emergency rooms suck. did you ever see the fisher king? it one of my favorite movies ever. anyway, there is a great scene in there when they are waiting in the ER and they show a pizza deliverey and all the docs and nurses rush out for the pizza. its so fucking funny and true. its a total mad house. anyway, better luck with the apt. search today. miao!!

I HATE emergency rooms (does anyone really like them)?

if i need stitches it's crazy glue or masking tape for me. I was just there for a skating accident...sucks, sucks, sucks.

Hoping things get better for you.

Well cats and kitties, my finger's still there, sore as fuck but, still attached. I went to my friend's Xmas party yesterday (the one necessitating the cookies). I didn't realize it was a family party... Families meaning all these other folk I haven't seen in a number of years all having munchkins, two or three years old, running around. I was cast in the corner...

Poor finger! eeek kiss Hope that everything heals up nice n' quick.

Best of luck with that apartment hunt. You and the Princess NEED to live together, cause you are too cute for words. Teehee! biggrin

I too have noticed the multiplication of friends and family. Lots of little ones running around lately (or coming out of the oven). Eeeeeeeek! There's no way that I'm ready for such responsibility. Whenever someone asks me when I'm going to start having kids, I mention talking to my doctor about steriliztion techniques. Nothing like the stunned silence after that comment. Hee! I much prefer being the ever groovie aunt and general fun to play with grown-up. Parenthood would spoil me for children, I greatly fear.

I see an fabulous art project involving all of your scraps of evangelical propaganda. *evil art visions*

Thank you so much for your input on Love and soul language. I think our list included: music, art, dance, poetry, ocean waves breaking on the shore, wind in the trees, birds and butterflies on the breeze, the vastness of glittering stars, the burning blur of molecules . . . I really, really liked your answer though. Very nice. biggrin
