I almost have to laugh. I guess there's no such thing as "happily ever after," after all. She told me Friday that she was too busy with school and her daughter to have any time for herself, let alone for a relationship with me. And here I thought I was banking up points in the emotional investment account, and she's like, "let's be friends." Great....

Today is the one-year anniversary of the death of my son. I say son, but it could have been a daughter -- my girlfriend chose to get an abortion last year. And today is the day that she took the first pill, Mifepristone, last year.

He was eight weeks old. Just large enough and developed enough to be recognizably human. He had little hands and...

I thought I would update my journal a little more often than I have been, but I've been busy with work and other work.

This entry gave me some things to think about and sparked a deep conversation between me and a friend concerning gender roles and inequality. I wanted to thank you for that.
wakeman:
Err, wow. Care to share some of the salient points of your conversation?

Maybe something about how a woman can throw away a man (except for his wallet) just as quickly as he can discard her?

Babies are disposable too....

In a society that flushes 6-week-old fetuses down the toilet after a simple chemical abortion because it's convenient (it's just like having your period, right?) , how can that same society inconvenience men by tapping their finances for 18 years?

Again, I make no judgements. I'm just asking the questions.

I've been a member for the last six months or so, but I haven't bothered to really use this site except to look at all the amazingly sexy women up here.

But that is going to change. I may not get to be a Suicide Girl, but I am a writer, and that's pretty cool, right?

Yeah, yeah, so everybody is a writer on this...
