well, at some point in the 80's I'd say yes. both my brother and I both had curly semi-mullets, but that was before "the mullet" was a phenomenon or a term, it was just away people wore their hair. we both had curly hair, all equal legth pretty short on the top, but left fairly long in the back...to about the bottom of the neck. I once say my brother's high school yearbook (5 years earlier than mine), there were 80's hairdos (mullets, I suppose), and big big hair on th girls.
