Miss me. I'm going to have a lovely weekend with better things to do than putter around on the internet.

Life is rubbing me the wrong way today. It's starting to chafe.
archernu:
I carry a knife. Would you like me to wave it around menacingly? That might put everything back in line. I have a mean snarl, too. Perhaps that'd do the trick?
archernu:
Say hello to him for me -- provided he is who I think he is -- and have a great extended weekend.

I swear, from this moment until the end of time I will put pesto on everything. Last night for dinner I made quesadillas with pesto, shallots and authentic buffalo milk mozzarella. Mmmm.

Oh, and because I'm quite clearly insane, I made the tortillas myself, too.

mistersatan:
I shall not.

*sits around in underpants eating Chee-tos*
mistersatan:
Then you should know better than to say such things to me in the first place.

Fuck my fucking ankle.

Fuck the barometric pressure while we're at it.

I swear this has never happened to me before!
archernu:
You fucking rock! I'll read it this weekend. Although, I'll likely hold the actual editing, sparse that it may be, until more of the submissions come in - that way I can get a better feel for the book as pseudo-whole before I have-at anything with my red Micron. Savvy?

On the way to work today, it seemed as if someone had hit a skunk about every quarter mile. I could smell it the whole way there.*

Thanks, fuckers. Lets try a little harder at learning not to hit things with our cars.

*And no, it wasn't me. My personal hygiene is beyond reproach, bitches.

I called my sister again yesterday to ask when I could fly out for a much needed (and financially dooming) vacation in the Twin Cities. She'd been in Guatemala for two weeks doing something-or-another non-profit. Before she even answered the phone I was thinking about doing much of nothing: hanging with some friends over drinks or Indian food, talking to Zack again and getting more ink (maybe), reading and writing in Coffee News where no one on the eastern seaboard could find me. Alas, I was greeted with this: "I'm moving to Chicago next week. Visit me there instead."

I'm her twin! You'd think she'd of told me! Granted, this small story probably means little to you, but, for the record, I'm bummed - partly because I've been denied the stellar combination of velocity and Guinness again. Apparently syzygy is required. Go figure.

I would keep it, but I have a thing for Shiva Nataraj.
menotyou:
Dude.

I wants it. I needs it.

Through my job it would cost about $40 to ship.

The hat was indeed fabulous, whether it came on my birthday or not. Plus, I'm all set for winter now. My head will never be cold.

I was going to write about how much I love liverwurst and gouda sandwiches on Vienna style double sourdough bread, but then I realized that all of my journal entries are about food.

So you get no entry today. Sorry.

You know, there's this German deli down the street that I've been wanting to try. I bet they have that...hmmm...
archernu:
You can't do that! I eat vicariously through your journal! It helps me ignore the fact that my lunch is invariably going to be tuna fish or peanut butter on whole wheat - again.

I'm flattered that you'd offer your expertise. I may take you up on that sometime.

In any case, I had no idea that yogurt and yoghurt were different things. As the song goes, "What a difference an 'h' made..."

Ah, a saturday to myself, and what amazing and thrilling things am I doing with my time? Well, I've been up for about eight hours, and I've managed to put on a robe.

In the kingdom of doing nothing, I reign supreme.

mjollnir:
Does the low hum zine have anything to do with the CD by the same name that was recorded from a gig at Bar Bodega a couple months ago?
Small crazy world.
mjollnir:
Aha, yes, I have encountered Blink. Last year I helped put on a gig to raise money for a tombstone for a woman called Helen Wickliffe who was killed 3 years ago. We made a sort of anthology CD and he did the pressing.
Also, my very recent ex partner was featured on the last A Low Hum CD.

I can't believe I didn't think of it first.

Hey, I can't help it if your boyfriend's name is Todd. Act of God, not my fault.

Busy can be good. It makes the time pass quickly.

Transmet is very cool. I've been hoping Warren Ellis would get his shit together and finally put out a Transmet movie. I've heard they already have a script and everything.
