bad news, i made it to the show, but there was such thick fog on I-5 that we got majorly slowed down and only got to see 'tv on the radio's last three songs.

its always a challenge to look at the world objectively and to hear both sides without swearing allegiance. I applaud your opneness in that matter. In many ways its much like my dilemma of having an intuitive nature and knowing from the way they dress or hold themselves and hearing a few words from someone, whether or not they would be a good friend for me. I think that is the easy part but in this removed role of fan it would appear that any true praise (which inthe real world is very effective because intelligent accolades are much better than the average you're hot and so often quite effective) would just seem to be flattery, or a come on. I know that there is I suppose a diff relationship, but I fail to see its validity. I have always been around the SG type of girl (friends dating sparring partner), and I'm not here bc I'm intimidated by them. We simply have a shortage of actually interesting counter culture girls here in Nashville. My point is, I don't think of you as some exotic dream or a goal to win, I think of you like the girl at the coffee shop who I planned on saying hi to when I finished my drawing, only to discover she left. You seem close to me, because everything I know about you intrigues or amuses me, but still somewhat far bc of the percieved relationship. It doesn't matter how many sets for SG I photograph or how many drawings I do, or how many friends of mine join, I will still just be a slobbering boy to many people, which makes me sad bc I hate boys and the slobbering has really calmed down as I got used to the lip ring. Heh. Anyways, this message had no point except to say that your take on that whole journal topic was refreshingly intelligent.
