In Detroit for the weekend. Looking at a few bar/lounge establishments that are up for sale. Even though the first place we were looking at got sold right out from under us, we're still looking for good opportunities.

Today I am a total mechanic. Replaced the belts in my car (3), and have my scooter (which has been inoperative since May due to an accident) about 95% back together, just waiting on a few bits to come in the mail this week and I should finish next weekend.

Holding pattern is over...deal in Detroit fell through. We may look for another bar to buy next year, but I doubt it.
So....I'm staying in Los Angeles indefinitely.
EDIT: I finally got the internet at home! Now I'm back on SG and can interact with all you lovely people!

You know how I feel about investing in anything dependent upon the disposable income of a fickle customer base....so, I think it might be a blessing in diguise, at least for now. Congrats on getting internet back.
We are still holding out for the loan on the bar in Detroit. I should know something this week.
Loans aren't as easy to come by these days though. I am still cautiously optimistic.

I am healing quite well, thank you! I am still going to physical therapy (I tried to shorten it to "therapy" on someones page and they thought I was going crazy...) but I am feeling a lot better! Yay for getting better!
