We had three groups of trick or treaters who commented on the H*R pumpkins. I had a rule that any kid who came to the door and sang, TROGDOOOOOOOR!!! would get the entire bowl of candy. Some recognized, but nobody did the full-on song.

Today we left Toby for about an hour and he was not crying when we came back, though he had clearly tried to get out while we were gone. But still, baby steps.

And colllege is a rude wakeup call for lots of people. It's like, "Wait, i thought i was smart and special!" and you realize the whole thing is a pyramid and you've moved up. You're now on a level where everyone is like you. But life is about seeing who bucks up when the pressure is on, and you are obviously smart and capable enough to do anything you set your mind to. So go whomp some ass, and even if you're feeling overwhelmed, fake it.

So I noticed you dug the last bailey set! If you are interested you can read about behind the scenes info in my Oct. 31st journal entry. So did you notice the burning car? Most people mised it. Its our fun little "plant".

I did the natural hair thing for about a year, and then I started dying it again. I do less wild colors now and do more of mixing. like mines blonde and black right now. My favorite natural color to dye my hair is "darkest natural brown", I donno why it just looks so cool on my hair, heh. the haircut is starting to grow on me though. I think it was such a big change that I was like "ohh man" but I've worked with it a bit and I like it now.

Normally I try to talk them out, but this one was such a ...jumble I was having trouble making sense of it. Well, at least the flashes have stopped.

The geography classes sound like they could be really interesting. I hope it's not dry statistics but more about trends and the why of how it happens. And I've always loved astronomy...right up until the physics got a tad too deep for me to swim in.

I'm just trying to be optimisitc.

And all I seem to want to do is curl up with Karen and sleep. Or build a screened in porch on our back deck, furnish it with a wood stove, and sit out there and enjoy the cold and heat from the fire. Hmm, curling up with Karen sounds like less work.
