I still haven't done the food shopping that I needed to do over a week ago. I'm both proud and ashamed of my procrastinating ways.
Damn, these blogs are so self-indulgent. I just read two entries that made me lament that I won't have those 30 seconds of my life back again.

I have almost no food in the apartment at the moment. When did I become so lazy that I can't even get soymilk and cereal from the store?
I saw this this film yesterday. It's quite amazing at how bothered some people become regarding words. Still, even among the fuck-phobes, seeing Pat Boone and his well-intentioned fantasy world was predictably entertaining.

Yeah, if there was a straight, flat road between the two cities the drive would be fast.
Why are you getting rid of your stuff? Just to reduce clutter?
I already have a jersey. I'm not sure if I know anyone else who needs one. If you can believe it, my sister and brother are Oilers fans. *shudder*
I blame myself for my brother. I went away to university while he was still learning right from wrong and my sister and her husband corrupted him.

See, there are some drawbacks to having friends in lots of different places: how to make the time to see everyone? After our monster 2 week trip to Ireland at the New Year, I have a friend in St. Kitts who wants me to visit her during her last semester at school (and I believe you said you'd been there and I should check it out too). So after all that is behind me, I will be sure to factor in a maiden voyage to America's Left Coast to see you and the lovely C.

it was good... During the day it was kind of boring but someone convinced me to get out of te computer and go have some drinks.
Good talking, good beer, good place. Everything good....
Sunday is gonna be more lazy. Christmas cards and laundry to do... whole new week on the way.
- yes, I wish I was in Seattle. But if I ever go there, I'll let you crazy nice ppl know and we can hang out!
xoxo

During the film I saw this evening, I witnessed clips of Morton Downey's show from the late 1980s. I don't know if a TV show can better remind of those inglorious days of high school for me than that one. Of course, the only ones who will remember this are those of a certain age who lived in the greater New York City area at...

Oh, and I'm not wrong.
It's substandard.
It's only in the crappy dictionaries because of "popular usage".
Try looking in a (real) Webster's 2nd ed. dictionary.
That's the one for americans to go by.
And Corpho's dropping the ball?
What?
I just tried calling her and no answer.
Where are you guys staying?
What airport are you flying into?

Where did you go in Maine .. looks like the Mid-Coast (Brunswick to Rockport or so) .. I live in Westbrook ....
And I think Rutgers is a legit team . should be interesting to see how goes vs. Cincy ... as they are playing right now .. would probably put Ohio State, Michigan and Arkansas ahead of them .. Florida is overrated, and USC has to convince me by beating Cal ...
Rutgers played an absolutely amazing 2nd half against Louisville .. I just want to see the dream season continue ... have to keep from pinching myself.

I've got nothing, folks, so I'm resorting to a clichd appeal for entries. Answer the question in the posting above yours however you see fit and then ask a different one of any stripe for the person after you.
You see, I told you that I'm mentally bereft today.
Do you have any guesses as to why bidets never caught on in a widespread manner...

It's Che sera sera. It's Italian. Not Spanish. Same sound, different spelling.
Anyhoo, even though I didn't pull out Afterbirth's chair, he was there to witness the incident since we used to work together. I don't think I've ever seen him laugh so hard, except for that time we pulled another prank on a different coworker. This coworker, who is in fact an ex-boyfriend of mine (what an incestuous workplace, eh?) had ordered a very expensive microphone from eBay to be shipped to our work. We intercepted the package and rigged up a dummy package with bits and pieces of stuff so when he moved the box, it would sound like his microphone was in a million pieces. And as the pice de rsistance, we put a note at the bottom of the box that said "sucker!" Afterbirth set up a camera to film the whole thing, unbeknownst to our coworker. The whole office knew what we were doing, so on the video, you can see random people circling, waiting to witness the kill. When the guy finally touched the box and heard jangling sounds, you can see great distress in his demeanor, and then he opens the box and is so blind with anger that he can't even tell that all the items in the box are from the office, which should tip him off that someting's amiss. But no, he saw the "sucker!" note and actually thought it was from the eBay seller! I think Afterbirth finally bursts out laughing, and it becomes apparent that it's all a prank. I do wish Afterbirth would put the video online because it's too funny.
Keep me updated about your visit. Find accomodations yet?

Thanks Surly!
My friend Dayton has headed down to California for his conference, but, while here on his quick visit to Seattle, he managed to drink his way to adjusting to Pacific time. I think that I'm quite fortunate these days as travel across time zones doesn't seem to affect me much at all, but, on his last evening here, he seemed unusually tired while at the...

well, originally i told C that you guys could both do dinner at my moms....
but just tonight i got a call from my uncle (her brother) saying that him and his new wife were thinking of "Hosting" it at their house.....
but i remember C saying that she didn't think you guys were gonna head over to my moms anyway.
My uncle just got remarried last month ( my aunt died from cancer last year)
it was kind of quick on his part, but i just think he's one of those people that cannot handle being alone.
My new Step aunt is the same age as me
She used to own her own bakery back in the Philipines (my aunt was Fillipino as well)
so now i'm strangely curious if my uncle is just attracted to asian women or if he missed my aunt so much he just kind of gravitated to trying to meet someone like her in some way?
none of my business really... but my cousins were first pretty pissed about it!
they have calmed down since
i seriously dont know why i just rambled about my family stuff to you... sorry!

The only thing I look forward to with the holidays is when they will be over. I haven't decorated, I don't listen to carols, in fact I am beginning to realize that I am seriously BAH HUMBUG !!!
Ohh, maybe we can have a SG summit in ATL. Iwould cook you some killer vegan and RAW foods. It is my area of expertise you should know. I have always been fascinated by the challenge of making delicious food without any animal product !!
