I'm in Winnipeg until September and I don't really like it here.
However I have decided to list the good qualities it has...
1) people are friendly
2) great cheese cake at Baked Expectations
3) thunder storms ( we don't really have them on the coast)
4) cheap beer!
5) amazing perogies & Ukrainian food
6) guys here are not shy, if they think you're...

Hurrah for perogies!
I've figured out how to make the pasties... Now all I need is more glue for my gluegun. kiss
queena:
Good luck at school (not that you need it, I'm sure).
I haven't made them yet, but a gluegun, craft foam and sequins and I'll be a made woman. I think I can sell em in town, too (for cheaper than the ones I bought).
I'd love to see yours; anything that makes my cleavage appear fuller is a godsend. kiss

Today I'm going to Winnipeg. I don't really want to go but my mom is going through chemo for ovarian cancer so I better be there.
I hate Winnipeg. It's in the middle of nowhere, too many red necks, fruit & veggies are expensive & lacks ethnic diversity. It's nothing but strip malls, chain restaurants and big box stores. I could go on & on...

The other day I read or heard someone say (can't recall which one)...
Most people die at age 25 and they're burried at 80.

How sad. I'm glad I'm not one of those people.

Really do you do it on your own, or in a class.
pica_pica:
hey, just got back from the farmer's market. I think that's going to be new saturday morning habit for me. Got some great bread, some organic veggies, but alas. No sparkling rubys.

Hi Everyone!
I have a room for rent in my Vancouver 2 bedroom apartment. It's $450/month & available October 1st.
It's located near Main & 16th in Mount Pleasant, near 2 major bus routes & a short ride to the skytrain station. You can walk to everything you want or need.

This furnished room includes a daybed, side table, lamp, desk & book shelf. It...

I've never been to Canada but I plan on going soon...eventually...hopefully.

I don't mind the rain, its just today I didn't want it to. And in Philly there's not all the nice trees everywhere like in Portland, so rain feels weird. I know it sounds weird...but rain in wide open space feels different then if its filtering through a tree.
I think I'm just crabby from the humidity.
switters:
I can relate to that kind of money, my program is criminally expensive as well. Should be well worth it. Hope you find a great room mate quickly.

any timeline on getting your tattoo done?

I need some mittens... its getting hot down here!!

I took a break from LGOTW because its kinda alot of work to do, and plus, when I posted the series on "the boards" SG took it all down... which I thought sucked because I'm only promoting their own models... so I decided to lay off that for a while... but I'll get back into it - and no one else will do it better than me!! tongue

kiss

Torrid. They aren't on their website though!

It's a plus sized store (which you obviously aren't, haha) but their shoes are regular sized if you wanted to buy yourself a pair biggrin

Ok, the stats exam is over & I think I did ok. By ok I mean I passed, like 50% or so. I think that even if I didn't really pass the prof will pass me based on my pain, suffering, time & effort spent on this course. Oh well, like my Family Studies faculty advisor told me " D still gets you a degree"!

I have a statistics exam on Saturday. I hate math & formulas and I will never use this stuff again, ever. If I don't pass, I won't be able to begin my BA in Education in September!! I hate math. frown

I know you said you don't add people who you don't know as friends, so, hi. I guess the rest is in my profile smile

good luck on your exam, I'm sure you'll do fine
eviltwin:
you see the thing to remember about math is, it's only different combinations of the same ten numbers. granted, there are an infinite number of ways to mix, match, arrange, splice, mutilate, and grind up and stuff into sausage casings ... but it's still only those ten numbers. that's what always got me through. wink

Cool tats. I like your avatar pic. smile

Have you tried playing with your photo editor's compression setting when you save jpegs? Just don't compress them too much, or edges will get wavy and funky due to something called "Gibbs' phenomenon (oops, sorry, that's math stuff whatever ).
