So, hows everyone doing? It finally turned hot here, something the locals tell me should have happened many weeks ago, but I think it's been a beautiful summer.

School progresses. The current class is mind numbing boring. only 4 weeks left of it.

No plans for the weekend, but might try and go paddling for a while one of the days.

Yikes.
Jeez, don't these people know a hit and run is a criminal offense, whereas owning up to an accident is a "simple" insurance matter?

Ah, I see your account's live again! How's things? All well I hope. Watcha been up to since august? smile

here's my delema for the week. How does one change from loving someone to just being a friend without alienating or distancing that person?

Want to be best of friends, and keep in close contact, without putting pressure or acting like a jerk. Encourage to get on with life and other relationships, and still want to hear about, and support.

Time is all I can...

beatrice:
i had a mix of not so much fun and fun, but then i had a long weekend so it was probably inevitable.

a tribute to an incredibly gorgeous girl. everyone needs to check out beatrice

I want everyone who reads this to ask me 3 questions, no more no less. [But don't feel obligated] Ask me anything you want, even if it's extremely personal. I DON'T CARE. [uh, actually I might care - keep that in mind] It's part of the fun. [fun being a relative term...

I get on so well with my new boss. Went out for a beer with him and a couple other people after work lastnight and had a blast.

Now I just have to get in shape to where I can keep up with him on a trail, right now he would kick my ass blackeyed , so I don't go embarass myself, but going to have...

Finally finished "Steppenwolf" by Herman Hess. Good book, heavy and a bit melancholy, but enjoyed it just the same.

beatrice:
going to give siddhartha a try?

Been a good week so far. The instructor I have this time is alright, and the class makes the day go buy somewhat quick.

have to learn how to read and write in nothing but abbreviations I think.

beatrice:
david byrne. m_ bought me and a_ tickets for my birthday, remember?

No I never say anything to my crush. I'm too shy & I think that verbal mush would be the only thing to come out of my mouth.

I just love it when you realize that you haven't made anything to eat for the next day, were to lazy to go to the store. then have to throw whatever you can come up with together and see if it's edible. I have turned into somewhat of a goat, since I have to eat my own cooking.

Liking my job so far. will hopefully...

Thanks for the comments.

That bike was my Shadow Sabre 1100 from a couple of years ago. I traded it for a VTX1800 Retro that I have now....just haven't gottten any good photos of it yet. Too much riding and not enough picture taking I guess. I have plans to get some pics before the riding season is over.

Cheers!

I am still alive, just haven't been on much. Let's see, in the last couple of weeks I started a new job at
DoubleShotCoffee
I also got cutoff by a car in a parking lot and laid the bike down to avoid hitting them mad . Only minor damage to both the bike and myself.

Finish the last of my generals tomorrow, then onto the powerplant...

Yes I'm now a UBC grad! I have a BA in Family Studies. I should start Education in September as long as I get my student loan.
What are you studying?
rubysparkle:
It's a 12 month program. Tuition is outrageous for a Canadian university. The first 8 months are $7,000. It was half of that 2 years ago. Our current provincial government (who I hate) seem to think that everyone comes from a midddle class family and mom & dad are paying the bills for you. So it's going to be a scary 12 months, which is why I'm renting out my extra bedroom.

well, it's been a pretty dull weekend. Saturday went to the library and today about all I did was read.

I find it strange that it was such a nice day (especially in the shade) but there were hardly any people out enjoying it. I was told it was because nobody comes out on Sunday afternoons. What does that mean?

anyway, just started reading Steppenwolf...

funny how life can be so ironic. I try my first pot and then get called into take a pre-employment drug test. try to hold something you love too tight and it distances the very thing your trying to hold.

Oh well, guess that's what lifes all about: the learning, growing, and improving, messing it all up and trying again.

That's what tomorrows are for...

Hi Friend!
ratoncitoperez:
For real?? -did you really have to take a pre-employment drugs test!! That's absolutely shocking! shocked Unless of course, the test was to confirm that you are a user. Because as was all know, those who are most disposed to transgressive and risk taking actions tend to make the most dynamic and effective leaders. wink

For examle, Steve Job's key criticism of his principal rival (Bill Gates) is that Bill would have been more innovatve if he'd taken as much acid as Steve has. I think the recommendations of a guy who was worth $100 million by age 25 are more valuable than the regressive views of the average HR executive. Agreed!? If we had a no drugs -no job rule in the UK we'd lose half the civil service, most of the Government, the attorney general (fact!) and Richard Branson, amongst others.... shocked

Anyway, I really do hope that it hasn't prejudiced your application. wink
