Sick out of my mind.

I also find that I really miss the friends I made in SGSeattle. That situation is long since out of my hands, and I handled it with grace and dignity. I have that at least, and it's usually enough.

Just not today.

Yesterday, I created Grand Marnier floats, grilled some fine steaks and chorizo, bought an AirZooka, and hung out with people who were drunk before ten. In the morning.

Sad and in need of friends. My people are unavailable. At least I have whiskey.

Good movies, a pizza big enough to need its own zip code, luxury shopping, drinking whiskey neats, great friends, and a world-famous Suicide Girl being disappointed that her puke in the street wasn't Skittles colored: these things make a weekend worth having.

If I had any less ambition, I'd probably slip into a coma.

The string of peaceful, simple days continues. Writing and editing are going quickly, work is unremarkable, money is never lacking, and repeated attempts to inveigle me in petty drama fail miserably. These journals are utterly pointless now.
