work was mightily insane today. I feel like I'm throwing my scruples to the wind for the sake of doing my job.

I have a straw purchase (a customer who bought a car for someone who couldn't otherwise purchase a vehicle) and the person who has the vehicle skipped. I found her on livejournal.

I have a customer who has nothing but a cell phone--...

I honestly think I've been in the "waiting to start rehab" position for a couple of months now. I've got the evaluation. I know where I'm going. I know who I'm going to be seeing. I know what kind of rehab I need. I've signed release forms. hopefully I should be starting within the next week or two.

hopefully.

DrSprite and I saw Crooked Fingers last night.

I'm still bad at concerts, but I really enjoyed the music.

one of my coworkers really fucked up one of my already fucked up accounts at work, so I'm cranky about that.

but otherwise time is just sailing by. just waiting to start rehab.

best!

It's time for the quarterly review. Can you believe it's been fifteen months since my heart surgery to repair the patent foramen ovale?

In some ways, it feels like I've made no progress at all. I'm still living with my parents. I'm sill working on rehab. I'm still struggling to hold a job. It's draining.

In other ways, the progress that I've made is...

Thanks for your feedback. smile
I'm sorry for the sorrow your family had to endure, and bless them.

I always appreciate dealing with the people here who got genuine thoughts in their heads.
You the real deal. kiss

Just so you know, I understand having illness on top of illness on top of illness. It is tiring. I don't work at all anymore & I am in the process of getting SSI. It is too bad that you are in the same boat as I am. But, it is good to know I am not the only one going to the doctor every 20 mintues... LOL. whatever

do you remember my orange trumpet vine?

I went to check on it today, and it was gone! completely, totally, vanished and not there.

it's really silly, but I was devastated. and I was too embarassed to ask my dad about it, because I'm sure he thinks it was just some dead stick and it's very likely that he pulled it up.

my orange trumpet...

I should clarify my distaste for Camino.

It reminds me of IE on crack. I told it to never, ever ask to remember passwords. Yet every single time I had to log in somewhere, that damned dialog box would pop up, asking if I wanted it to remember this password. NO.

The auto-complete did not function. Period. Safari fills in address boxes without a problem. In fact, it does it a little too well sometimes by filling in every single box on the page.

Spellcheck also did not work as well as it should. I deliberately misspelled a few words yet Camino never caught it. However, the moment I type "Sulphur", Camino flagged it as misspelled. It's a correct, if old, spelling. Firefox has no integrated spellcheck.

Camino had a helluva time digesting stileproject. I do not know why. Safari will bog down if I leave it up for days on end. Firefox hasn't yet.

I'm using 10.3.9.

1. there is a reason why they call it INTERNET EXPLODER. I love my Mac, and I love Camino.
2. if I actually had any money, I would spend it all at Wrappables. I officially have 99 items on my wishlist at Amazon. it's pretty much a glorified shopping list for, you know, one day when I am not overwhelmed in medical bills. (sigh)
2.5...

Camino. Pfft. The only good Camino was made by Chevrolet from 1958 to 1987. wink

If I were king, I demand a combination of Firefox & Safari for my machine. I would call it: FriSari. Safari has the basal integration with OS X, Firefox has the speed & Java-compliance.

Speaking of Exploder, my coworker's wife had to use a Mac a week or so ago. Since she couldn't find IE, she didn't get online. After all, if the application doesn't have "Internet" in it, it cannot possibly be used for internet exploring.

guess what I found out today!

I am smart.

I'm also very slow, distractible, and depressed.

there is actually a 45 point gap in my IQ between my ability to think and my ability to do. when you think about it, that's pretty impressive.

I've got a laundry list of suggestions for mitigation and coping, but there's really no way to get better. over time,...

is about eight hours, I get answers.

I AM SO NERVOUS.

seven and a half hours worth of testing boils down to an hour's worth of discussion and a written report. my parents are going with me (for a couple reasons), and my guess is that this appointment will change my life.

Best of luck with everything. Fingers and toes are appropriately crossed here in Oregon and all good energy coming your way. After all, it's not every day that someone's life changes. May it all be for the BETTER, m'dear. kiss

I got a "transformations" tarot deck. it's pretty interesting. my card for today was wishful thinking:

whatever I think, I create.

how appropriate.

now, the trick is to focus on making my thinking more positive, and concentrate more on my ambitions than on the shortcomings and hardships I've experienced. no more paranoia, more dreaming and more planning.

and healthy thinking.

guess what!

I left work today, and I will not go back for THREE WHOLE DAYS.

during that time, I will not be anethestized or hooked up to any IV's. I will not have any dyes injected into my body. I will not be placed into any imaging machinary, and no machines will be placed into me. I will not have any electrodes stuck onto...

That is too bad about the email. Shit, you don't even whine half as much as I do I bet!

As for that dream, I think you are right because we were going to have sex for our first time after we were done shopping, back at our motel. But we kept shopping & shopping & I woke up before we got there. He also was going on & on about how skinny girls aren't as pretty as girls with curves... gotta love that!!! biggrin

I've kept a paper journal since I was 8. I have VOLUMES of stuff that I've written over the years and it's always been valuable (dare I say precious) to me to go back and read my past. The online journal thing has been fun and I've only been doing that for a year, but there is something deeply personal and intimate about a blank book that you alone can fill. As far as I'm concerned, you're not a whiner -- not in the least. You're just like the rest of us, searching for what's supposed to be our own personal truth, our own personal story. Whether you do it on line for the world to share with you, or whether you do it in your own little quiet corner of the world, don't ever forget that a journal is for YOU, m'dear. It's one of those lovely presents you can always give to yourself.

Enjoy your 3-day respite. kiss
