This one was more conceptual in nature, (I always hate using that word, since that episode of Spaced.) hence the bodypaint. Anyway, the first shot came out pretty much as I'd envisaged it, which was nice. I was great to do a shoot to my own design, although I did steal the lighting setup from Peter Hurley for the first one and Joel Grimes...

I thought I'd written a more recent blog than July!

Wow, loads to catch up on. Our daughter has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus, (water on the brain,) as well as hypermobility. At the moment we are also awaiting more diagnostics to be done by Great Ormond St children's hospital, after being referred there by Addenbrookes in Cambridge by the genetics dept. She's...

Wow, so sorry to hear that E has got water on the brain! I was sent to Great Ormond Street myself as a kid for tests to see if I too had water on the brain... turns out I just had a big head!

Just did a work friend's wedding recently. Yes, that's me in the feather boa and odd, censorship shades.

I also shot an SG set for @Darkdreamer, although I've heard nothing back so I can only assume it wasn't accepted.

Sometimes I look at my photos and think some of them are pretty good and that I've made the right decision

We bought a car! It's a grown-up's car and everything. I originally wanted a Honda Civic - the ones with the spaceship dashboard and rocketship handles and had my heart all set on one but I looked at several & they're REALLY expensive, unless they're slightly older or have lots of miles on the click. My stepdad put me in touch with a...

Did you miss me? Did you notice?

Anyway, my membership ran out while I had no money to renew. I remember a load of people getting surprise renewals & kind of hoped that it was SG doing it on the sly to keep people here, but it didn't happen to me. So I got paid, re-upped my dues and got back on.

So what's...

Woo doggy you're good at them photo-ma-graphs. Even if the edit of the male model wasn't to your taste, I love the lighting.

So the big news at the moment is I just got a job with a portrait photography company, who run all of the photography studios in Center Parcs! The downside is that it's part time and in addition to my normal, full time job. Also I have to get there & I don't own a car, which means hiring one, which eats into the...

Obviously a lot of hard work has gone into the redesign. Some things are found a slightly different way, but I'm sure we'll all get used to it. I think a change was definitely due. Kudos.

Not fond of the redesign myself. It's not a good user experience for desktop users although I haven't tried it on the tablets it's designed for yet though.

Pretty exciting week or two. I've been off work for a week back tomorrow. frown I know most people feel the same way but I really wish I could make a living from photography as I absolutely fucking love it, and also, I have some talent for it. If I won the lottery, I would buy shitloads of gear and do it all day, every...

Wow that's really great that Neil Gaimen said that! I checked it out on the page amazing! You're almost Celeb status at this point! ;]

Glad your photography is doing so well, I remember when you were just starting to try to get into a career with it! I wish you luck on finding more paid gigs, I know you don't need luck with your photography itself, it's always so amazing!
