Just did a work friend's wedding recently. Yes, that's me in the feather boa and odd, censorship shades.
I also shot an SG set for @Darkdreamer, although I've heard nothing back so I can only assume it wasn't accepted.
Sometimes I look at my photos and think some of them are pretty good and that I've made the right decision to pursue this as a possible career. Other days, I want to give it all up & just do it occasionally for fun. I know most photographers and indeed artists in general go through the same thing, but it's still tough.
I also did some portraits/headshots for a model I've worked with before to use as his author pic next to articles he'll be writing for a local magazine. They came out ok.
A couple of other shoots I was trying to organise recently just seemed to fall through or fizzle out or someone let me down. It's really frustrating. I described photography as "My Go-Karts" recently, referring to the scene in Clerks 2 where Randall has to go ride the Go-Karts after being bummed out as "it just centres" him. Photography centres me and chills me out and makes me feel like I've accomplished something that day instead of being at the beck and call of customers who are often rude, belligerent and occasionally downright delusional.s
Went camping for a few days a couple of weeks ago with the family. First holiday for a while. Really good fun. I'd like to go again soon.
What have you been up to?
