I didnt get to go shooting this weekend because of the glorious rain, but I did take the Vehicross out and run through the large puddles spraying rooster tails of water up on the neighborhood kids who stand by the water and motion for motorists to do this. Its great, the kids love it and the mean streak in me loves it too. How often...

I was out at the river with some friends a couple of weeks ago looking at scorpions (I said a was a nerd) at night with a black light. The little ones really glow. We had a flashlight too which attracted about 500 billion bugs to its beam, the cool thing was the insects attracted a ton of bats. It was amazing! There had to...

Then I reckon they ain't fit to teach school. If it's a public school I wager she's lacing her comments with warnings about witchcraft which definitely has no place in a government subsidied school what with the alleged separation of church and state. Shit man, this is going to remind me there are some things in life worth geting litigious over. That is one teacher I sure will avoid (not that I reckon she will teach up my block, and it might not be relevant till I get my some kids), but man, that just steams me.

Thanks for the sweet recognition of men on the boards!
I tend to clump myself into the category of positivity when it comes to the male breed... and always feel awesome when someone appreciates the fact that .. well...
As Depeche Mode may say..
"People are People"
Wonderful, beautiful, and vibrant people are held not to race, sex, sexual orientation, or ethnicity.
It's nice to see someone such as yourself make a wonderful statement.
It'll no doubt do you well in life.

So I thought some people might like to know a little more about me.
I can count my sex partners on my hands and a little on one foot.
I have 3 cats and a Chihuahua
I have never done drugs
I am a really good cook
I keep a garden
I am a saltwater/freshwater/and small animal expert

Im pretty happy with this whole SG thing. I was a little apprehensive but so far it seems really cool. A nice place with people of a similar mindset. Not something you find every day. Even the people I disagree with are not total idiots. They have a different point of view, which is ok, that is what makes the world go round and keeps...

Hey, I can't fault you for voting Kerry. So long as you vote, you're in my good book. What maddens me is that so many people give me grief for voting my conscience, as if my vote is costing them their freedoms. Well, after roughly 200 years of Democrats participating in the process, and running the show half the time, I don't see anything but an increasing disaparity between rich and poor, eroding Constitution. . . shit. . .I've been drinking so I can't get my point across other than that we sure could use effective, genuine leadership "FOR THE PEOPLE" one of these days. If I have to take it by force, I suppose I will. Uh. . .kidding. . .no black helicopters please. . I was only kidding. . .
I had the worst headache last night. It was really awful so I ended up going to bed very early. I didnt do my homework, I got up around 3 AM and was going to work on it but then still felt really foggy and went back to bed. Woops. Thankfully there is no exam this week. So Ill just have to bust a little...

hillarywallace told me that i should check out your journal from yesterday. i agree with you completely. i collect certain firearms. by the way even if your AR had the flash supressor it wouldn't be an assualt rifle. in order for it to be an assualt rifle by the BATF, the trigger pack and sear would have to be: Safe, Semi-Automatic, and 3-Round Burst. besides as of yesterday your flash supressor is now completely legal
PS i love the pic of you with your HK USP. i collect HK's, and have far too many of them.

I have participated in a lot of the gun topics posted on the boards. It always saddens me when I hear people equate guns to crime. Guns can be used in crime, and they can kill people, but so can cars or rocks or any number of other items. I get sad when people forget how many honest citizens own guns and never harm anyone....

Go ahead and poke away....maybe that's what it will take to get my rear in gear and get something done about it.....HA!
I was seriously disgusted with myself for letting myself get into my current state of less than great shape. It truly was a combination of things that led up to it, but I've leaned on those excuses just a little to long now.
Ahhh yes, the Az heat! I've been there in the summer and know a little of what you speak of. Luckily, my time there was brief and I never had to suffer through a whole season of the intolerable stuff. I guess the trade off is that you don't have the intense mind numbing cold that we can go through here in Iowa in the winter...
Armor all.......a great product for some things, but never to be used on the interior of a car ....it always leaves a greasey residue behind that tends to attract more dust and dirt than it cleans off!
Thanks for replying back.....hopefully we'll "talk" more in the future!

The state of things in this country has me very disturbed.
The complacency with which people are just accepting this crap is even more disturbing.
I am concerned about so many steps in the wrong direction which are being made, and the blatant disregard for the constitution being shown by the current administration.
I guess it is easy to turn a blind eye when it...

I reached my bullshi threshold in so many ways, a long time ago.
My little dinner went well over the weekend. I got nothing but complements. I made the samosas and Palak paneer.
I have a little Chihuahua mix dog. He is just over a year and 4 months old and was abused by the people I got him from. Ive had him for about 4 months. To this day he still has no manners and can be...

Years ago, my family adopted a puppy. Were pretty sure he was abused. But my parents have kept him for years now, and hes a happy, healthy beastie.

AS IF you hadn't already planned on making samosas. ..I mean, what else works well with palak paneer, texturally speaking?
Ah. . .dogs. . .dogs. . .dogs . I recently had to give up my Great Dane, Hazel, and it still breaks my heart. I so badly want to visit her, but I know it will kill me to see her at her new home. I hate dogs! I swear that I miss the great ones in my life more than anyone or anything else.

I ended up taking the first suggestion and made the samosas and plak paneer. Got to double up the use of the fryer for the cheese and the samosas. Everyone was very impressed and I don't think they even noticed they had a totally vegetarian meal. I am allergic to peas, so I mashed up some garden burger and used that as filler in the samosas along with the potato.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions, now I have new stuff to try for a few weeks.

Well it looks like my friend lost the election by 7 votes. What a shame

i'd vote for you, but only if ran on a hookers and whisky platform.
that's great tho' if you're serious about running just to shake things up. everyone should do that. Hunter S. Thompson only lost his bid for sherrif of Aspen by five or six percentage points and the name of his party was Freak Power[/i}. if he could pull that off, damn near anyone could, i'm sure.
good luck.

Today was a local primary election and a friend of mine was running for office, so despite waking up feeling awful for some unknown reason and missing class today, I did manage late in the day to drag myself down to the voting booth and participate in the one peaceful thing every citizen can do to effect change.

please let this end and at least the less ignorant of the masses regain a little control. this is all

This is only my second batch (or 4th if you count two failed experiments. Cranberry, it seems, is too acidic to start fermenting at all.) so I wasn't inclined to push my luck with more than that. The first batch came out beery, and went sparkling. (Oh, so that's why champaign yeast is a questionable choice for mead brewing, eh?) Having learned from the last batch's mistakes, I'm doing half of everything differently this time around, including being a raving fanatic about racking the stuff.

Thats not me trying to be witty. I know by most reasonable accounts Im not old. But, when I walk by the High School thats by my house, and compare myself to the 14 year olds I see. I feel old. I imagine when Im 30; Ill look back at 22 year olds and remember what it was like to be young. What Im trying to get at is that old age is a moving goal post situation.
