I read a book a while back called The 5 love languages which asserts that different people feel loved in what boils down to 5 different basic ways. It explains that if you measure love or feeling loved in the form of a love tank each of these 5 basic loving gestures can be essentially assigned a numerical value which differs from person to person....

I read this Here at heartless bitches and know several people to whom this applies. Does this apply to someone you know? This web site is fabulous though a bit tough to navigate.

Why "Nice Guys" are often such LOSERS
You hear it all the time: "He was such a NICE Guy, and she's such a Heartless Bitch for dumping him."

I get letters from...

So when's your next trip? How bout a road trip?? Hopefully you read my emails. By the way, I wrote that I was 30 & holding! I have 8yrs ahead of you; but that doesn't matter, because I'm "not dead!" haha! Take care Gorgeous! Thanks for the bd wish! love u! biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

As a reformed Nice Guy, let me say, this is all dead on! It needs to be put into pamphlets and dropped by the hundreds onto jr. highs, high schools, and colleges everywhere.

Nothing like being the Nice Guy in a difficult marriage to cure you of that. Like this entry says, don't be an ass, but treat yourself well first, get a bit of an edge that says "I can take care of myself," and the way women look at you will be dramatic.

My trip to Orlando has been indefinitely canceled. Im kind of glad. I like Florida but this particular trip was poorly timed and involved my being pulled in way too many directions.

On a related note, never get the brilliant idea to travel over the 4th of July. I thought Christmas travel was bad until today.

I'll be away for a few weeks heading off to Florida this weekend. I'll take my laptop but will most likely be too busy to post or update much while I'm there. Anyone in Florida maybe we can hook up and hang out someplace. I'll be in Orlando and Clearwater and Daytona most of the time. I may find a few other places to go...

I made some leather pillows for my mom. She has a rustic theme going so I thought this would look nice on her leather couch.

I know the vegans are going to hate me but I LOVE leather, I love how it feels and how it smells. I got a pound of scrap leather at the fabric outlet and was able to make both of...

There was line in a vampire book in which the protagonist upon seeing a group of leather-clad vampires, commented that there must have been several cows that died to clothe them.

Wow, some really good stuff happened today. I finally was vindicated after 13 years of character assassination and cruelty. That was nice.

I got a new pet emperor scorpion over the weekend. It was born to the pet a friend of mine owns a couple months ago and is big enough to eat on its own now. I think it is pretty cool thoug I...

I'm so sad Dead Can Dance in Hollywood is sold out frown I really wanted to go. Does anyone have extra tickets for this show? I'll pay fair market value for them.

Ihave been making stuff for embroidery like a mad woman. I hope this becomes a new profitable venture for me.

I'm not going full throttle because I am flying to Florida in a few days and will be gone for a few weeks. Tough to get all geared up only to have to stop and go on vacation for a few weeks.

I'm getting increasingly...

That's the crazy thing. Knives up to 2" USED to be allowed, but some assholes with boxcutters ruined a TOOL for everyone. Granted there's a possiblity you could hit a major organ with a knife that small, but it's a pretty thin one.

Yeah, Nipple rings! NIPPLE RINGS!!!!! One of the screners told her she'd have to take them out, and she gave him an earful. Saying that if he made her take them out, he was paying her 200$ to have them put back in. Luckily the lady that did the private screening was a little cooler than the rest of the inbred sheepfuckers.

We sat in the airport lobby waiting for the flight making jokes about hijacking the plane with her nipple piercings as loud as we could, too. I'm surprised we weren't detained for questioning.
chairtamer:
Air travel has become woefully burdensome of late, so, it is not just you. There is that intrinsic fear of flying - perhaps more of a great distaste - that my father had, and perhaps we all get to some degree as we mature and value autonomy more.
122? The last time I remember it being that hot in AZ was 1990 when they grounded all civilian aircraft. At least it's a dry heat, something you won't find in Florida.
Now that they've taken away our knives it's difficult to perform tracheotomies when we need to. So much for the life of a peasant.

I had a minor computer failure, thankfully it ended up being just the power supply and did not end up turning into the 4 day fix-it marathon. I hate that.

So, how was your day?

Hm... well the T1 line to the Santa Monica office got cut off. During a teleconference. Coinicidence? Hmmm.... The building techs will look at it in the morning.
I just got home setting up 10 computers at the floor downstairs. First they wanted the auditors only access to one website and no access to the computer's floppy drives and not able to save to the hard drives and no print screen capabilities. K, I can do that. Oh, by the way, they need to print. Ah, ok. Bleh.

So, how was your day?

Ha Ha, well of course the show was a small disaster. We had a little dance routine planned out, but of course that never goes as one would wish. First we ended up being late onstage, because the stage was 3 feet up and had the steepest slickest ramp you could ever imagine to get up onto it, so me and my counterpart had to...

Sleep is sometimes unneccesary. That just goes to prove my theory that this state, if not this country is too small. That is one of the oddest things I hacve ever heard of, and almost better that you had no idea you knew each other previous.

Doh! I missed a chance to say this on your birthday, but I still think it needs to be said: You of all people have no reason to worry about your age or your looks. I have a very strong suspicion that youre still going to be a total hottie for a few more decades, and that deeply attractive personality of yours is only likely to get even better with age.

I''ve been busy all day with my new machine. They inspected it and told me to use it if it works. Sure enough it seems to. It is a little out of allignment and the self threading mechanism is broken and I noticed a couple other things a little squidgy, but I was able to embroider some stuff.

Figuring out the software was the most...
