I failed my first test because I went through a yield sign a little too fast - on a quiet residential street with good visibility and no traffic for several blocks in both directions!

But then I moved to Madison and bussed and biked everywhere for the next five years, so I didn't even think about it. I finally got my license in California after driving Humvees in the Army for two and a half years. After learning how to handle one of those monsters (and driving it off-road in Korea), driving a little sedan around Orange county was a breeze!

You'll get it next time - I always consider Friday the 13th to be a lucky day. I figure if everyone else is having bad luck, it has to balance out somewhere - why shouldn't it balance by you having good luck?
