I agree. Did you see that 100 page thread in the Hopefuls group? I rarely go in there because it's not a positive atmosphere; people usually tear each other down rather than help. But this thread was the worst. It reminded me of the scene in Carrie where all the girls were bullying her and throwing tampons at her. Really childish.

I've never been to Portland, but I hear they have an EXTENSIVE collection of local brews waiting for my pallet to enjoy, so I may have to make plans to go out there sometime in the future. Did you manage to get in touch w/ any of the local regional SG groups. I find it cool as hell that before I go anywhere now, I PM whoever the group owner is of the local group and see if there's anything going on. If there is, I'd pop in and meet a slew of folks I've never met, but are instantly cool to me because we all have SG in common.
