i don't know potbellied little mini pigs at all, but ive seen the big ones bust through some pretty good looking fences to get at some food on the other side!! eek
I take walks every morning on my lunch break and I discovered a dozen and a half or so mangy cats and kittens living in a pallet yard on my route I am going to TNR (trap neuter release) them so they will stop procreating dang it (maybe socialize the kittens)

1) good for you regarding the cats! you might want to spray some Felaway (sp) on the traps... it is a masking odor which most cats read as neutral territory--we use it around the food dishes in the springtime when our males (neutered but guys anyway) get feisty.
2) good news: pig shit + compost = super great fertilizer..bad news: your lettuce will taste like pigshit and your garden will stink...really, really stink. I'd say "no" to the pig
