I understand Esurance is supposed to report me to the DMV for no insurance if they don't know if I got a new policy...

I think it was your responsibility to provide your previous insurance company with proof of being covered by a new insurance company .... if you don't they are required by law to report you. So you probably missed something in the mail or e-mail.

well, cars haven't been owner-service-friendly since the early 90s (and I'd really say 80s). Part of how they've been getting better at fuel economy and smaller size / lighter weight is to cram everything in the compartments, engine included.

I like your thinking!!! We did have a bunch of snakes on our wedding registry and no one got us any of them. :[ If nothing else, I would be happy with normal females... I gotta breed my male Cinny to something! You should also test out how many baby snakes can ship in a box too!!! That would probably be good information to know. 
I didn't mind turning 29, heck I'll be happy to turn thirty (cause really, my twenties have kinda sucked) but I've been fighting with "where I should be" for years now.
So come! Join me in the land of under-accomplished 29! It's not so bad at that. And hey, you have company.
My personal opinion, that after you turn 30 you stop playing it.
But I totally get where you are right now. I was in the same boat, and then I slowly realized I was just running my life my way and it wasn't wrong or right, just as their way wasn't wrong or right, they were just different.
