Find me. Add me. Give me love!

I just finished watching "Whatever it takes." They show it all the time on Comedy Central, but I bought it because I am a sucker for Romantic Comedies, and Marla Sokoloff is hot.

Anywho, the idea of the movie is Guy A and Girl B are neighbors and best friends. Guy A plays the accordion and is...

We join spokes together in a wheel,
but it is the center hole
that makes the wagon move.

We shape clay into a pot,
but it is the emptiness inside
that holds whatever we want.

We hammer wood for a house,
but it is the inner space
that makes it livable.

We work with being,
but non-being is what we use.

I do not understand the thing we call love.

I have found out things about her that piss me off to no end. The fact that she slept with one of my best friends. The fact that she dumped me to become engaged to another of my best friends. The fact that she tried to sleep with another of my friends who turned her down...

Tim got cable internet and phone in his place. I went out and bought one of those two unit phones, so we both have one in our apartments. There is 75 ft. of ethernet cable running from his room, out a window, to my room...putting me BACK ONLINE!

I missed having my internet. It's my connection to the world when I am in seclusion mode....

So apparently my town has a small dog warden/kennel where you can adopt a dog. The dude is completely sketchy, but I don't care about him...
it's a dog I want.
Tim and I went up there today and checked out some dogs. There was a nice little female mutt that was friendly.
She can't be adopted until next week...but if she is still available...

Dogs kick ass. I'm getting my French Bulldog sometime around Thanksgiving...he lives with my parents now, but he's coming up to live with me. Which should be awesome, no housebreaking!

To add to my shitty day, exhibit B.

Remember a few months ago I told you all about how Tim and I were fighting to get the position of "Front Desk Manager" (as in there would be 2 managers)

We colaborated and came up with all these awesome ideas to make more money and bring in more business etc...

Well Tim got fired. That is...

No go on the dog. It was adopted before I could get to the shelter...

They do have an English bulldog puppy now...
The breed I originally wanted.

My only problem is...I don't want to get my heart set on another dog, and have it get adopted from under my nose again.

shortchanged:
its bound to happen, you find something you really want, and someone else gets their hand on it. you feel like you deserve it, you feel like you could give it a good home, and you feel like it was yours when someone else gets it. i know how you feel. keep on truckin'

Ever stop and notice the little things that make life worth living?
Like the smell and feel of the air on a cool fall evening...
or the giggle of a two year old as she imitates what you are doing...
or a cat basking in whatever sunshine it can find on the living room floor.

I've been noticing these things more and more lately. I've...

Friday night I went to Borders with Mandy, and bought the Tao Te Ching and a leather bound WALNUT Journal. (meaning it's made of wood)

Then I went to Sarah's and crashed on her floor. (We were dog-hunting Saturday). I slept for about 45 minutes before I had a horrible nightmare. I don't have nightmares...but I have been having them increasingly lately...not a good thing....

So I emailed one of the people at the Wolf Park in Indiana to see what I would have to go to school for to get into Wolf Conservation. She said I should be able to start with a Bachelors in Zoology. I think I will go for a masters though, since it will fetch me more pay and I eventually will want to go...
